ASA sites that specifically require personal data may publish a privacy policy of their own. That policy will be supplemental to the general privacy policy described above.

Special note on children’s information

Several sites in the ASA domain focus on children, including interactive sites such as discussion groups. Some of these groups require specific information, which users must provide to ASA. In this case we request the minimum amount of personal information.

These areas of the ASA site are intended for children and adolescents only; unauthorized adults do not participate in these areas of the ASA site. (Obtaining user information helps us in this regard, if necessary).

Return Policy

In ASA Ecuador we obtain recurring donations through face to face campaigns (in the street, shopping malls, companies and events), telemarketing calls to those who have been contacted and digital (campaigns on Facebook, google and the ASA website).

The donation acceptance supports for each case are:

Face to face and Telemarketing: Signed form.

Digital: Autonomous registration of the donor via web.

Reasons for a return to apply

When a person contacts ASA or their bank to request a refund of the discounted money, it can be for different reasons:

He/she did not authorize the donation;

They understood that the donation was a one-time donation;

You cancelled your donation and a new debit was made after that date; or

The contribution was debited more than once in the same month.

Due to these situations, ASA has a refund policy that seeks to provide transparency and security for all donors. This policy refers to the process that must be followed for the refund to be effective and is described below:

Process for requesting a refund

The return of the money must be requested in writing (email) or by calling the association in Quito +59322472999, indicating the reason for the request.

When the donation is cancelled, it is explained to the donor that during that same month he/she could receive a debit in his/her account/card, if the cancellation was made within the month closing and collection process, since the processes are automatically activated, that is to say, the cancellation will be effective for the following month.

Financial institutions take a minimum of 8 working days and a maximum of 4 weeks to make the refund.

The money requested for refund will be transferred only to the account or credit card from which it was debited.

The refund will be made either for the value of the month in which the request is made or a maximum of 3 months of the authorized monthly contribution. The reason for this condition is that after this time the money collected has already been allocated and used in the different programs developed by ASA in Ecuador.

If the reasons for requesting the return of the value are not having authorized the contribution or because it was understood that it was a one-time donation (unique), the donor will receive a copy of the form.

Exceptions:

ASA’s donation page is secure, however, there is a minimal risk of credit card fraud through the page. In these cases, ASA will return the money debited when fraud is identified or when requested by the individual or the cardholder’s bank. Refund times will depend on the banking network and range from 8 business days to 4 weeks.
